Storage Barns
Storage barns are one of those thing you didn't know you needed until you have one. Then you wonder how you did without it! They're wonderful as a garden shed; you can move all the dirty implements, tractors, mowers, etc. out of your nice clean garage. You can set up a permanent potting station, for all the transplanting and repotting chores. A storage barn is an excellent place for relaxing with your hobbies, from vehicle restoration to woodworking, from band practice to model airplanes. The uses are innumerable, and as unique as the individual using them. However, There seems to be a lot of "price-oriented" storage barns on the market today. "Price-oriented" structures often have a reduced quality of components, workmanship, and features. There is an increasing amount of homeowners associations and communities that discourage or don't allow storage barns because of the lack of quality in these "price-oriented" structures. It's true that they often detract from the value of a property instead of adding value. Not anymore...
Storage barns built by The Cedarwood Co. are a different story. We take pride in the quality, workmanship, and features of our buildings. Start with our exterior siding, for example. It's not metal and it's not manufactured "wood" sheeting, but 100% solid, 3/4" tongue & groove Eastern Red Cedar wood. Eastern Red Cedar, also known as Aromatic Cedar is not the same as Western Cedar or Redwood. Eastern Red Cedar is typically used in closet lining, outdoor furniture and cedar chests. It isn't an easy wood to work with, which is why you don't see a lot of it in use. However, we've been crafting wood products from Eastern Red Cedar for over 15 years. We put this experience to work so you can enjoy the many distinctive characteristics of Eastern Red Cedar in a quality built product. The goal we strive to achieve with our storage barns is a custom, unique building that suits your needs, holds up well in weather, looks very attractive, and adds value to your property.
